The Roles We Play was a singular theatre performance composed of two one-act plays, The Actor’s Nightmare (Christopher Durang) and A Walrus in the Body of a Crocodile (M.J. Kaufman), separated by an intermission-like interlude. The five cast members explored their Roles in each of the two pieces, guided by the through-lines of identity and pressure to perform a certain way, set against a liminal space with versatile and dream-like qualities.
